De SDI-202 is een veelzijdig toestel en kan gevoed worden door een 9V batterij of een mixer met fantoomvoeding. De instrumentenmodus heeft een hoge impedantie zodat u instrumenten met een hoge uitgangsimpedantie kunt aansluiten, zoals een elektrische gitaar of akoestische gitaren met een piëzokeramisch pickup-element. Deze modus geeft u echter ook de mogelijkheid om elektrische toestellen met een ongebalanceerde output aan te sluiten, zoals keyboards en mengpanelen zonder gebalanceerde outputs.
